What We Do
Downham Market Town Council supports, guides and co-ordinates town community and infrastructure development.
We own and manage the Town Hall and Jubilee Community Centre- including hiring the venue out for events, small and large, and are the licence holders for weddings at the Town Hall.
We are guardians of the Town Square Clock and the Town’s War Memorials.
We manage the Local Markets held on Fridays and Saturdays in the town centre.
We are consultees on matters concerning town planning.
We offer small Grants to help local organisations.
We hold a variety of Events including the well-attended Christmas Lights Switch On, St Winnold's Parade and Mayor’s Civic events for the benefit of the town’s residents.
