Downham Market Young Farmers meets every Wednesday in the Red Cross hut (unless our event that evening is on site.) Our programme is varied throughout the year.

Previous meetings have been farm walks, Game cookery evening, tours around Standen engineering and many more. Of course after the meeting we always end up in the pub (usually 25 pints of coke, 2 pints! and plenty of bags of crisps) in Stowbridge. We have about 35 members ageing from 10 - 26. All of us have a countryside interest BUT you DON'T have to be a farmer to be a young farmer.

Our president is Alison Richardson and our Chairlady is Harriet Cousins.

We hold various social events through year to raise money for charity. Last year we raised £4100 which was the largest sum given away to charity out of all of the young farmers clubs in Norfolk.

New members are always welcome. Our catchment area spans from Thetford to Kings Lynn to Downham.
